The Cross River State House of Assembly has lost one of its house members in the person of Mrs Elizabeth Ironbar.
Mrs Ironbar passed on in the early hours of Wednesday from a protracted illness.
She reportedly died at the Assembly Village, Ikotenim in Calabar, Cross River State.
Mrs Ironbar was the member representing Akpabuyo State Constituency in the States Assembly
She was elected in 2015 for the first time and in 2019 for second tenure;
serving as a two term member of the Cross River State House of Assembly.
Notable of her feats is the “Cross River State Disability Commission” bill.

Interestingly, she was one of the eight Assembly members who refused to defect to All Progressives Congress, APC with the governor of the state, Senator Ben Ayade.
Family member confirming her death said said “Yes , she died this morning after a protracted illness. She is indeed a strong woman”.
Mrs Ironbar was a tough politician who lived up to her name.
