A 26-year-old Nigerian in person of Emmanuel Ogabi, has been confirmed dead by police in the United Kingdom

Ogabi was reportedly stabbed on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 11.40 pm,

UK Standard reports, that an unidentified group attacked him and left him alone on the street

Neighbours found Ogabi’s body on Thursday morning, on Sandy Hill Road in Woolwich;

 a district in southeast London within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Also, UK Police cnfirmed that someone in the neighbourhood reported a collapse in the street to police at about 7.48 am on Thursday..

They informed Ogabi’s relatives of his death.

DCS Trevor Lawry, the officer in charge of policing for Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley, said: “My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim’s family who is now having to come to terms with losing their loved one.

“We understand the shock this will cause in the community and we are here to listen to your concerns.”

however, The police are, calling on residents to check and provide doorbell or dashcam footage that captured the Wednesday attack.

Analysis of CCTV footage shows Emmanuel surrounded by a group of males during the attack.

Investigation lead, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command: “We are specifically appealing for anyone who was in Burridge Place or Sandy Hill Road from 11.40 pm to 11.45 pm on Wednesday, 20 October.

Hence, the police are yet to make an arrest.
