The most expensive hotel in the world is not located on land but in a submarine named Lover’s Deep underneath
the ocean in St. Lucia, an island country in the West Indies in the eastern Caribbean Sea on the boundary
with the Atlantic Ocean.
From $292,000 (€258,000) per night, lovers can spend an evening submerged amid beautiful marine life,
the peaceful blue hues of the ocean, and the chic interiors of their own private submarine haven.
Description of the Lover’s Deep
Each space within the vessel’s open-plan interiors – including mini-bar, two-person bathroom, and inviting
double bed – enjoys views out into the ocean, and due to the fact you are on the move, that view
could encompass anything from shipwrecks and coral to untainted expanses of blue. While you can
technically be picked up from wherever you so desire, the recommended boarding location is the tropical
St. Lucia in the Caribbean.
Lover’s Deep is staffed by an onboard crew of three, consisting of the Captain, chef, and personal butler
who share separate, sound-proof living accommodation at the other end of the craft to ensure guest privacy.
The hotel package comes with private speedboat transfers as standard, the service can also be customized
with optional extras including helicopter transfers with a beach landing, free rose petal scattering
service or champagne breakfast in bed.
Honeymooners who choose to take to the depths below will also enjoy a complimentary gourmet aphrodisiac
tasting menu of oysters, caviar and chocolate fondant tinted subtly with the taste of pomegranate.
Onboard the Lover’s Deep, the guest is the king as you can direct the captain to moor the submarine at
a location of your choice,
whether that be a stunning coral reef off the coast of St. Lucia, which is a popular tourist destination due
to its tropical weather and scenery and its beaches and resorts.
