Zamfara banditry involves bitter politicians

The Patriots for the Advancement of Peace and Social Development on Wednesday called on the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle to examine the role of bitter politicians in the complexity of escalating rate of banditry in the state.

The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Sani Abdulahi made this known in a press briefing held in Abuja. 

Alhaji Abdulahi recalled that a few weeks ago, a former member of the house of representatives allegedly sponsored hoodlums in Bakura during the APC house of assembly bye-election primaries. This, according to him led to the destruction of properties worth millions of naira leaving innocent citizen injured.

Also he stated the alleged was arrested alongside the hoodlums and was later granted bail by Police authorities.

Meanwhile, the group call on President Muhammadu Buhari in view of the forgoing, to use his good office to call for the immediate re -arrest and possible prosecution of the alleged person ‘Alhaji Sani Gwamna’  for breaching the peace in Zamfara State.

However, Sani Abdulahi adviced youths to add value to the society and should not retrogress, especially now that the progressive visionary and purposeful government has put the state on the map of sustainable development.

He urged parents to educate their children and wards on the dangers and security implications of breaching the peace in the state.
